It Just Happened

I can’t pinpoint the exact moment everything changed.

One second, you were just you,

the person I told everything to,

the safe haven I never had to think twice about.

And then…

something shifted,

though there were no fireworks or slow-motion moments.

It was subtle,

the way your name felt lighter on my lips,

yet heavier, like a secret I was still unfamiliar with.

The truth is,

sometimes, there’s no rhyme or rhythm to these things… they just happen.

You’ve always been my comforting place,

where no mental hesitation was needed.

But one day, I realized I was seeing you in a different light,

and it left me wondering whether you felt it too.

You made me laugh at your texts,

find joy in the smallest things,

and suddenly, I was wondering about you even when there was nothing to occupy my mind.

So here’s where I stand:

I acknowledge you the way no one else does,

and I understand you more clearly than I ever did before.

I don’t know where this journey will lead,
