Taught by Love
The reason I learned what love is, is because of you.
From the stillness of the world, where time appeared to cease,
To the gentle stroke of your touch, that stirred me beyond belief.
And to the laughter of your voice which warmed my heart, like a gentle breeze.
Your soft grip’s whispering reached out to my delicate soul,
Demonstrated love’s expressions when conversed words were more.
In the glances that were never spoken, and the sounds absent,
You instructed me in lovey-dovey heartstrings on how to feel.
And oh! Was I blown away!
For within the cosmos of your gaze, there lay innumerable oaths.
A profound world, that floated around gentle embraces.
Every glimmer encapsulated a tale while every moan comprised of a melody.
And together with you, I have come to truly know my heart’s destination.
Your gifts brought me infinite visions of emotions without the boundary.
Where every quiet, enhances your essence and mutes your echo.
And in your touch, I was enlightened to sense, greatly subdued yet resolute affection.
The sensation of an unparalleled yet gentle touch as I learned trust within you.
So if I know what love is, it’s because you taught me:
In moments of utter cease where time halts, and in the gap between sentences, where emotions wander.
You made me acquainted with love's depth and grace,
A journey I will cherish and never efface.
